After a full season of competitive fixtures and 12 closely contested matches, the 2026 Suzhou Football League concluded with Duke Kunshan University finishing in 4th place overall.

In the final home match of the season, the DKU men’s football team came from behind after trailing at halftime to secure a 3–2 victory over the eventual league champions in a closely contested game. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, spectators remained in the stands throughout the match, providing strong on-site support for the team.

This victory also marked DKU’s first-ever win over Soochow University, representing a significant breakthrough for the team.

The team experienced roster adjustments in the Phase 1 of the season, with several key players affected by injuries. As the season progressed, DKU gradually improved under the guidance of head coach Alexander Tomic.

In the latter stage of the season, the team showed clear progress, maintaining strong performances at home and finishing with a four-game winning streak. DKU ultimately secured a top-four finish, marking a steady improvement over the course of the competition.

Although DKU narrowly missed the podium, the team finished just 1 point behind 3rd place, highlighting how close the competition was this season.
Looking ahead, the team is optimistic about building on this momentum and achieving stronger results in the 2027 season.
