On November 23, 2024, the DKU Golf Club participated in the first China Mini Golf League, held in Kunshan. Among the competitors, Liu Yiming, the club president, stood out with his outstanding performance, leading the team to prominence and securing second place in the individual event.

The China Mini Golf League was held for the first time in 2024. The event aims to promote mini golf, attracting more people to participate in this fun and competitive sport. The league consists of several regional competitions, each featuring individual and team events. Contestants compete on creatively designed mini-golf courses that challenge both their technique and strategy. The event not only showcased the charm of golf but also provided a platform for mini-golf enthusiasts in China to exchange ideas and compete.

After the competition, Liu Yiming expressed: “It is a great honour as the president of the DKU Gold Club to lead the team in the first China Mini Golf League and represent the university. Mini-golf is quite different from traditional golf, so it was a completely new challenge for me. I was fortunate to finish as the runner-up. This competition is a valuable experience for the growth of our golf club, as it is our first time participating in a major event.”
Liu Yiming also shared his vision for the future of the DKU Golf Club: “For our club (established in September 2024), I think this is a great beginning. Over the past two months, we have been training weekly and gradually growing the team. Although we started with a small core group and not much visibility, I believe these challenges will be resolved as we move forward. I hope more golf enthusiasts will join us, and even if you’re a beginner, don’t worry—we will improve together and enjoy the sport!”
