DKU Intramurals Kick Off with Table Tennis and Volleyball

The 2022-23 Intramural Sports League kicks off with Table Tennis and Volleyball in the past weeks. After 3 weeks fierce competition, table tennis intramural has finally come to an end. While for Volleyball, the first round has concluded last week, but the tension of the game is still on.

Table Tennis In the past regular season, students entering the league played within their own division with their peers in a round-robin, best 3 tournament style of competition. For the faculty and staff players, it’s similar that they competed within their faculty-staff division with their colleagues. Each athlete had the opportunity to meet with the rest of the competition within their division.

The gold medal winner of the Men’s single—Jiamin Lou commented that he thinks the competition system is very delicate. “Those processes make sure that every player can be highly involved and avoid some unexpected results.”

One of the most significant characteristics of intramural sports is that all community members can come and join. Haoyang Hu, CFO of DKU and Hao Yin, Associate Director of IT Application, both addressed that Intramural is a great way for them to engage with students and the wider DKU community.
