Tianhui Liao: Embracing Versatility Through Multi-Sports Journey

Tianhui Liao, a senior majoring in Molecular Bioscience with a focus on Biophysics and the honored recipient of the 2023 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, has been passionate about sports since childhood. Currently a member of the university volleyball team, she has explored a variety of sports, including handball, track and field, judo, running, and football.

Yipeng Jiang: Determination Leads to the Success 

Yipeng Jiang, an Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences major at DKU, is a driven athlete and student.

As captain of the Badminton Varsity Team, he has achieved significant success, including second-place finishes in national competitions and the UNNC Cup. Yipeng’s journey has been shaped by perseverance, teamwork, and discipline, which he applies both in sports and academics. He finds motivation in DKU’s supportive athletic community and aims to continue pursuing a healthy, diverse lifestyle while striving for future championships.

2024 DKU Fitness Day Award Ceremony successfully held

On December 5, the 2024 DKU Fitness Day Award Ceremony was held at the Performance Cafe, honoring individuals and teams who excelled in various aspects of the National Student Physical Health Standard Test (NSPHS) and DKU Fitness Day.

Anna Poledna: Conquering New Walls in Sports and Far Beyond

Anna Poledna, is a Molecular Bioscience and Biogeochemistry major in the Class of 2025 from Austria.

She is the member of DKU Women’s Basketball Varsity Team, Yoga Club leader, and a pioneering force behind the new Climbing Club. As if there is not enough, she decided to “give a shot” and take on the rigorous “Conquer the Wall” marathon on the Great Wall of China. And yes, she won!

DKU successfully hosts 2024 DKU Invitational bounding people together 

On September 29, 2024 DKU Invitational came to a successful close with the crowd cheering enthusiastically. This year the event attracted over 600 athletes from Duke Kunshan University, Wuhan University, Soochow University, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and other sports clubs. The competition covered various events including badminton, basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis, frisbee, and tennis.
