DKU Street Dance Varsity received the Elite Award, the highest prize, by presenting their incredible dancing skills in tThe dance competition “Amazing Dance Student” held in Zhejiang. As the first competition since the Street Dance Varsity established, this result was remarkable for varsity team members.
About the “Amazing Dance Student” Competition
The “Amazing Dance Student” Competition was held based on different age levels. Participants’ dancing styles mainly included Breaking, Locking, HipHop, Popping and Jazz. Based on the skill performance and stage effect, the prize was divided into Elite Award, Special Golden Award, Golden Award and Silver Award. This competition provided a platform for street dance enthusiasts to communicate and display their dancing skills, boosting the overall development of youth street dance.

As the first competition in DKU Street Dance Varsity history, this competition brought varsity members together towards a same goal.
Just like coach Joy Zhang said “The team invested significant time in technical training, understanding the work, and building collaboration, gradually establishing a stable rehearsal system and stage awareness.”
Team members of DKU street dance varsity also learned a lot from this experience. Varsity member Jiyoung Park reflected “The experience highlighted the importance of clear scheduling, planning, and coordinated logistics.”
The competition matters not only because of the prize, but also the collective experience made by DKU Street Dance Varsity members.
